The Evolving Canada–U.S. Trade Landscape: Context for Canada’s Nuclear Supply Chain Webinar

October 15 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm UTC
Canada’s trade landscape continues to evolve against a backdrop of tariffs, countermeasures and the collapse of discussions in August 2026. The uncertainty unleashed by a deteriorating Canada-U.S. trade relationship has also spurred domestic economic reforms and broader efforts to diversify Canada’s trade relationships and strengthen access to markets beyond the United States. Together, these developments are creating a complex and shifting environment for businesses and industries operating within deeply integrated North American and global supply chains.
In this timely webinar, Jeff Mahon, Director of StrategyCorp’s Geopolitical and International Business Advisory Practice will provide OCNI members with an update on the latest developments in the Canada–U.S. relationship, including ongoing trade tensions, tariff measures and CUSMA negotiations, while also examining Canada’s efforts to drive domestic industrial development and diversify its trade partnerships and reduce reliance on any single market. The session will look ahead to what can reasonably be expected over the remainder of 2026 and provide context for how these developments could intersect with Canada’s nuclear supply chain and the organizations operating across it.
The discussion follows StrategyCorp’s January 2026 session for OCNI members, providing an opportunity to revisit the issues explored earlier in the year in light of a significantly evolved trade and policy landscape.
