CNLO NUCLEAR LAW SCHOOL 2024

Through OCNI’s partnership with the Canadian Nuclear Law Organization (CNLO) we supported, the CNLO Nuclear Law School 2024, a successful two-day event, bringing together industry experts, legal professionals, and policy makers for meaningful discussions on key issues shaping the nuclear industry.

Day 1 set the stage with engaging sessions on topics such as Medical Isotopes, Large New Nuclear projects, Nuclear Liability, and Indigenous Equity Investment, sparking insightful conversations and forming valuable connections.

Day 2 continued the momentum with panels on Uranium Mining, Financing Small Modular Reactors, and Canadian Export/Import Controls. The afternoon offered deep dives into Impact Assessment, Waste Storage, and Decommissioning, giving attendees a comprehensive view of the challenges and innovations within the sector. The event wrapped up with a thought-provoking keynote by Pierre Tremblay, President of the CNSC, who shared his vision for the future of nuclear in Canada.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the dedicated CNLO organizers—Evguenia Prokopieva, Magda Hanebach, Ayesha Madura, Rachel Roberts, Erica Rodrigues, Lauren Lowns, and Christine Luza—as well as the panelists and all attendees for making this event impactful. We look forward to building on these discussions and hosting more valuable events in the future!
