The ITER Organization (the IO) has launched a procurement activity for the Hot Cell Facility Project Integrator. In support of the procurement activity, the IO organized a virtual Information Day on January 24th to present the details to the industry and to potential candidates.

The Call for Nomination procedure is on-going until January 28th and although this opportunity is not open to companies in non-member countries such as Canada, OCNI attended and wanted to pass this information along to companies who may be interested.  This is also part of OCNI’s effort to secure the necessary Federal and Provincial funding to support a Canadian membership in ITER.

The event included an overview presentation of the technical features of the Hot Cell Facility (the HCF), planned scope of works for the Project Integrator (the PI), main skills and experience, as well as Hot Cell project roadmap and organization, and a focus on PI Procurement program. There are six presentations covering this material available here for you to read or download.

  1. Introduction
  2. Technical – HCF Overview
  3. Technical – PI Scope
  4. HCF Project Roadmap
  5. PI Procurement
  6. Conflict of interest
