SUMMARY:Maximising the Impact of Your Job Postings Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Hiring is a priority across the nuclear supply chain\, yet for many organizations\, job postings remain the default approach when time and resources are limited. Despite this\, they are often one of the least effective parts of the hiring process. \n\n\n\nMany job ads read like internal documents made public—focused on task lists\, lengthy requirements\, and broad expectations. The result is familiar: a high volume of applications\, but few that are truly aligned with the role. \n\n\n\nThis session will explore how small\, practical changes to how roles are presented can significantly improve both the quality and relevance of applicants. Using a simple and memorable analogy—how Magnum positions and markets its products—the discussion will highlight how clarity\, positioning\, and messaging influence candidate engagement. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, you’ll learn: \n\n\n\n\nWhy most job postings fail to attract the right candidates\n\n\n\nHow to reposition your job ads to better reflect the opportunity\n\n\n\nPractical ways to improve applicant quality without increasing budget or time\n\n\n\nHow messaging impacts both volume and relevance of applications\n\n\n\n\nThis session is relevant for all OCNI members involved in hiring\, regardless of size or hiring frequency. \n\n\n\nWe hope you can join us for this informative session. \n\n\n\nEvent Details: \n\n\n\nDate: June 4\, 2026 \n\n\n\nTime: 10:00 – 11:00 am ET \n\n\n\nPlatform: TEAMS Webinar \n\n\n\nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:OCNI / Stellarex Energy Webinar: CFE Lecture Series - Fusion Energy Fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:As the world races to meet the dual challenges of climate change and growing energy demands\, fusion energy is no longer a distant dream\, but a rapidly advancing industrial field poised to reshape our energy landscape.  \n\n\n\nThe recently announced Centre for Fusion Energy (CFE) serves as Canada’s national collaboration platform\, enabling government\, industry\, and academia to accelerate the development and deployment of domestic fusion technology. \n\n\n\nBy driving a coordinated national program\, the CFE ensures Canada develops the technical know-how to act as a lead architect for whole reactor systems\, with the capacity to deploy a national demonstration device within the decade.  \n\n\n\nThis Fusion Energy Fundamentals webinar is the first in a collaborative series of fusion lectures hosted by the CFE partners. \n\n\n\nNuclear fusion\, the ultimate energy process that powers the Sun and the stars\, has transitioned from experimental science to industrial-scale engineering. \n\n\n\nBy safely fusing hydrogen isotopes (deuterium and tritium) to form heavier elements\, fusion represents a transformative source of clean\, non-intermittent power with no long-lived radioactive waste and virtually limitless fuel. \n\n\n\nDr. Spencer Pitcher\, a University of Toronto graduate\, has worked for more than 40 years on major fusion programs around the world included the world’s largest international program\, the ITER project in France. Dr. Pitcher is co-founder and CEO of Stellarex Energy\, a Canadian Fusion company with the goal of accelerating the commercialization and economical deployment of fusion power.  \n\n\n\nEvent Details: \n\n\n\nDate: June 8\, 2026 \n\n\n\nTime: 10:00 am – 11:00 am ET \n\n\n\nPlatform: TEAMS Webinar \n\n\n\nRegister Here!
